Gary Maio serves as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner of DVG, where he leads the firm’s strategic direction and guides the development of its products and services. He focuses on translating the evolving needs of public safety and government organizations into practical technology solutions, shaping DVG’s investment in innovation and its long-term growth.

With more than 30 years of experience spanning law enforcement, public safety, and technology, Gary brings an operational perspective to business and product strategy. His work has included real-time crime center platforms, investigative applications, data integration, and intelligence-driven systems. He connects firsthand knowledge of agency challenges with modern software and geospatial capabilities.

Before joining DVG, Gary served a 23-year career with the New York City Police Department, including work as a Detective Investigator assigned to the Real Time Crime Center. There, he supported major felony investigations, helped define application requirements, and led testing and training efforts. He is a recipient of the NYPD Medal for Valor.

Gary has also written on the role of information sharing and interoperability in improving coordination across law enforcement, public safety, and emergency management. His leadership reflects a commitment to strong client partnerships and technologies that help organizations make better decisions, collaborate effectively, and serve their communities.
